Whole foods
Recognizing what a whole food is, is actually quite simple. Does it have an ingredient list or not? Whole foods don’t contain ingredients, they are the ingredients. Rice, chicken, milk, carrots, pepper, beef, broccoli, etc. Granola bars, cereal, hot pockets – all have labels with a laundry list of ingredients, and these are the NOT whole foods. So, skip the gym a few days this week (yes! I said skip the gym). Go fill your refrigerator and pantry with whole foods, and take the necessary time to prep your food for the next few days. It’s probably the missing part to your workout program or overall health promotion that is holding you back.
