We all know that fruits and vegetables are great for our health, but there is always room for improvement! Look for those rich colors, the dark leafy greens, the bright reds, yellows, greens, purples, oranges, etc. Remember, the bigger the variety we can introduce to our diet, the better!  Vegetables and fruits are a certain color because they are rich in a certain set of vitamins/minerals.  The USDA recommends selecting a variety of colors of fruits and vegetables to help us get the vitamins and minerals we need.Slide1
